Heifer
International
An
interfaith organization
that provides animals
and other forms of assistance to rural families. Heifer Project helps
people obtain a sustainable source of food and income. Project families
gain new skills and self-esteem from the training and support they
receive in caring for their animals to improve their lives.
UMCOR:
Nigerian Agriculture Development Program
This
is a four-year program that addresses the health and nutritional needs
of
widowed women and their children through sustainable agriculture.Women
will be given management instruction
and animals, provided with simple machines and improved techniques in
food
processing for the cassava and cereal crops, education, planting trees
and
raising of tree seedlings to reduce rate of deforestation, and use of
A3 herb
treatments against malaria to reduce the rate of infant and maternal
mortality.

Food Bank System - Omaha,
Lincoln
Part
of the money raised by NUMB this year will go
to food pantries
across Nebraska
through the Lincoln and Omaha Food Banks.
The Lincoln Food Bank
serves pantries in 16 eastern counties, while the
Food Bank in Omaha
serves the rest of the state.
Monies
will be distributed proportionally across the state to the food
pantries.
Bread
for the World
To
match direct
service projects, we are also
addressing public policies that can help hungry people. Bread for the
World (BFW) is a nationwide Christain movement that seeks justice for
the world's hungry people by lobbying our nation's decision makers.
100% of all funds
raised towards these projects will go to
help those in need.
There will be no money
used for administrative costs.
